Mother's Day Breakfast

Address by McNemuelle T Year 12

Good morning to all the mothers gathered here this morning, I have a tremendous opportunity  to express my feelings towards my mother and to all the mothers gathered here through this short speech.

There’s no form of gratitude enough to explain how grateful I am for my mother and all mothers, from the very beginning she was the person to bring me in to this beautiful world and the first to hold me in her arms. Since that day, l I have witness the amazing things you have done. Things, that only superhero’s can do. Whether it be finding that item I have been looking for years in a split second, taking care of me even if you may be sick yourself or staying up all night just to make sure I had a good nights rest. I’d like to continue by giving thanks and recongnition to the small things that mean a lot to us:

Thank you mum for feeding me when I was hungry
Thank you mum for clothing me when I was bare
Thank you mum for being my personal popparazi, though it can be embarassing
Thank you mum for driving to me to school, when you were tired
Thank you mum for being my biggest fan
Thank you for kissing my booboos when I was hurt
Thank you mum for taking care of me, when I felt vulnerable
Thank you mum for supporting me, when I had doubts

I could go on, but we would be here forever and I know you are all still hungry. Because there’s so many things that happens behind the scenes that we are unaware of, so please I hope you’ve enjoyed this breakfast we have prepared as a way to show our appreciation for everything you have done for us in our lives. You hold a special place in our hearts and we look up to you.

Thank you and Happy early Mother’s Day!
