It is hard to believe, but we will soon be asking students in Years 9-11 to consider their subject choices for 2023. One of the common misconceptions students have at this time, is that all of their subject choices need to have direct links to their future career. Students should certainly consider pre-requisites for future courses, and ensure they have selected the appropriate subjects for entry into desired tertiary courses, however there are significant benefits to adding an Arts subjects to your program, and contrary to some opinions, it can boost your ATAR to study a wider variety of subjects.
The Arts can also provide a welcome relief from the academic rigours of VCE and allow students an opportunity to explore their ideas and indulge in self-expression.
