Middle School

From the Head of Middle School

Terms fly by so fast but it was great to stop and have some fun on Wednesday with the Colour Run. It was perfect timing for students to take time to have fun and enjoy the day. The beauty of the spectacle was that everyone can be involved, it doesn’t take much effort to walk or run around the oval, and everyone is on an even playing field as there is no skill and very little mental application required.

Over the holidays I am sure parents will hear the words 'I’m bored' but being bored allows for time to be creative and let the mind wander. Some of the best ideas come about when we are 'bored' and we are made to switch off. Simple things like being in nature, lying on the grass and looking up, walking the dog or creating a piece of art give us a chance to let our minds wander. I hope students take time to unplug from screens and just enjoy being kids – like the Colour Run. Have a great holiday and a peaceful and holy Easter.
