Classroom Reports

Foundation & Year 1

We are all looking forward to the School Fete on Friday, especially having people visit our stall. We have collected and collated lots of the staff's baby photographs for you to try and match. Some features never change!

Our Foundation children are ready for a change next term when they will be attending school the whole week! We also recently changed our seating arrangements, ready for next term. I hope we will be able to remember our new spots when we return.

Have a wonderful holiday.

Mrs Chalmers, Classroom Teacher

Year 5/6A

Over the past week 5/6A have been continuing to get acquainted with their Chromebooks. They have begun daily touch typing classes and are getting speedier by the day! We have also been using Google Classroom to complete and submit classroom tasks and have loved learning this process. This week we are looking forward to sharing our Egg Pin Bowling with the community at the College Fete. We can’t wait to see everyone have a go at our Mega Bowling Game.

Overall, 5/6A have had a productive and positive start to 2022. We have completed lots of extended writing and reading tasks and look forward to an awesome Term Two.

Year 7

The Year 7s have completed their first Term as secondary school students and what a Term it has been! A postponed camp, a few COVID cases, a changed Fete stall concept, and our first Upstander, just to name a few things. To their credit, students have adapted well, and their teachers and myself are thrilled with the start they have made. No doubt it will continue into next Term and the remainder of the year.

With the change in plans to our Fete stall, parents and friends attending the Fete are asked to watch for the Year 7s in a very special role this year. Students will be wearing purple vests and will be able to answer all your questions regarding the Fete (or will direct you to someone who can). The Year 7s will also be able to assist you if you are lost or would like to be pointed in the direction of a certain stall or activity. We know the Year 7s will complete this very important job well and take it very seriously.

Term Two will be filled with many exciting events including Cross Country, NAPLAN and our much-anticipated Year 7/8 Camp.I look forward to hearing about their holidays and seeing their many smiling faces back on Tuesday April 26.

Year 9

For our fete activity this year, we have our own Arcade Basketball Game. The game is a two player game. As we have two machines, four people will be able to go at any one time.

Options

1 go for 50c

3 goes for $1

Each go is 1 minute in length.

The top two scorers for Primary and Secondary will receive a prize.

We look forward to seeing you there.
