BPPS Cross Country

On Wednesday 6th April, all students competed in the School Cross Country held at Koonung Creek Reserve. Students dressed up in their house colours for the day (as well as many of the teachers) and competed in either a fun run or cross country trial. It was fantastic to have so many supportive parents and other family members there to help cheer the children on.

In fantastic conditions, the students raced around the 1km track to the best of their abilities. The students were all so well-behaved, enthusiastic and running on a buzz with all of the adrenaline.

I would like to say a HUGE thank you to Mrs Reeve and all of the teachers and parents who assisted with the set up and pack up of the Cross Country track and equipment. Your help was very much appreciated!

District Cross Country

Those students in years 3-6 who placed in the top 10 at the BPPS Cross Country will be representing our school at the District Cross Country on Friday 13th May at Macleay Park. Training sessions have began and students are very excited to be competing against other schools. We wish the Cross Country team the very best and look forward to relaying the results in the next newsletter.

Winter Sport Program

Our Year 5/6 students will be starting the Winter Interschool Sport Program in Term 2. On Friday 6th May, students will be provided with the opportunity to try out for either our Mixed AFL (Miss Thomas), Boys (Mr King) and Girls (Mrs Paziotis) Soccer, Boys and Girls Soft Ball (Ms Efron) or Boys and Girls Netball (Ms Turner) teams.

We look forward to beginning our fixtures on Friday the 20th of May!

Junior School Athletics

On Friday the 20th of May, students in F-2 will be participating in a Junior Athletics afternoon. Students have already started preparing for this special event during F-2 Sport. This event will be held after lunch on the bottom oval. More information will be sent home to families over the coming week!
