Grade 6 Camp

Last week we traveled to Waratah Bay for our Grade 6 Camp. We stayed at Waratah Bay Beach camp for 3 nights/4 days. Each day was filled with fun activities such as beach walks, beach games, surfing, roasting marshmallows around a camp fire, swimming at the camp's pool and rock pooling at chicken rock.

On Thursday we went to Squeaky Beach. When walking on Squeaky Beach the sand squeaked under our feet because there is silicone under the ground and little grains. We learnt that the rocks there contain granite and crystal due to volcanic eruptions. We went on a hike and saw some incredible views and we were able to have lunch at Tidal River.

We had delicious breakfasts, lunches and dinners. On the last day we had a Pancake toss. We got to catch our own pancakes to eat while our camp leader threw them to us.

It was a great chance for everyone to have fun, time to build relationships and a chance to form new friendships after such a big year last year.
