Visual Arts

This week in Visual Art our junior students made autumn trees. We talked about how the warm colours of yellow, brown, red and orange are dominant in autumn trees in the tones of their leaves and branches. As the weather gets cooler we look forward to seeing these beautiful hues as we look around trees near where we live.

The 3/4 students have created images of Jesus in preparation for Easter, based around the work of American Contemporary Faith Based Artist, Jen Norton.  These drawings are beautiful, albeit a work in progress, as the students will add colour next week.

The students in 3/4B have also managed to complete some stunning Anzac Soldier Portraits.  We have commenced these artworks early because Anzac Day falls on the final day of the school holidays.

Year 5 Anzac Soldier Portraits

And finally for this week, some Year 1 images.  We talked about how Jesus opens his arms out wide to show us how to Love others at Easter and every other day of the year.

Warm regards,
