Parents Association

Message from Co-Chairs

Connie Sands & Virginia Pullman

The Parents Association (PA) held its first meeting on the 17 March and we had so much to talk about.  It’s great to hear that all the year levels are finally catching up in person with BBQ’s, coffee mornings, and evening drinks all being organised.

MOTHERS DAY LUNCH

The Mother’s Day lunch has been confirmed for Saturday the 21st of May at Elwood Bathers, so put this date in your calendar ladies with the amazing theme of La Dolce Vita.  Further information and an invite to come out shortly. Book your tickets early, as this event is always full.

Thank-you to all those who recently volunteered to help from Years 5 and 6 with the organisation of the Mother’s Day lunch. This year we are trying something different to help take the burden off organising events. Events have been allocated to year levels and then are being broken down to tasks and volunteers then help with a task.   This means that the event doesn’t fall on just a few to organise and as the saying goes “Many hands make light work”.

PARENTS SOCIAL EVENT

We would like to make a call out to Years 1 and 2 in relation to the PARENTS SOCIAL EVENT in late July/August. We would like to break this down into tasks and please keep an eye out in your email inbox on how you can become involved. Tasks can include pictures on the night, the budget, organising catering, music, or venue and so on. Paige Harrington has generously offered to be one of the coordinators of the tasks and if you would like to help, please contact her on paigeetharrington@gmail.com or Virginia or Connie.

DADS CAMP

The kids head off to the weekend dads camp this weekend. Have a great time in Anglesea and we can’t wait to see the pictures when you return.  Ladies, we have drinks this Friday night from 7.30 at the Antique Bar in Elwood. It’s not too late to RSVP or even turn up on the night.

BUNNINGS BBQ

We need to find volunteer/s to help with the Bunnings BBQ this year. Can you please let us know if you can get involved?  Might be a great way for a few dads to get involved and help the school community.

COLOUR RUN

It’s BIG, it’s COLOURFUL and it will be heaps of FUN!!!

Friday 6 MAY at ELSTERNWICK PARK

There will be an OBSTACLE COURSE, AEROBICS WARM UP, TEACHERS WILL RUN, PRIZES AND THE KIDS ALL GET COLOURED AT THE END.
