House Swimming Carnival

After 2 years of cancelled House Swimming Carnivals, we were very happy to be able to have a Secondary House Swimming Carnival on Friday 1 April.  Despite the cold start to the day, the students had a great time! Lots of fun was had, lots of cheering and support as well as some hotly contested races.

The staff versus student relay was a highlight, with the staff coming out on top!  The novelty events also allowed for more students to be a part of the day and allow them to contribute to their house points.  Students absent on the day missed out on a great opportunity to build House spirit and friendship. 

Age group champions are as follows:

U13 Girls – Jasmine Prowd and Melissa Crispim

U13 Boys – Coby Carter

U14 Girls – Mia-Maree Hart 

U14 Boys – Josh Utley

U15 Girls – Olivia Fallon

U15 Boys – Justin Lee and Elijah Lian

U16 Girls – Renee Patten

U16 Boys – Spencer James

U21 Girls – Samantha Utley

U21 Boys – Asher Bunyon

The final House placings for the day were:

1. Carmel
2. Zion
3. Tabor
4. Bethel

Well done to Carmel for some fantastic results and maximizing the participation from your house group. For the rest of the houses, let's try and take that green ribbon off the trophy for next year!

In Term 2 we have the Secondary House Athletics and we are already looking forward to another great day. Looking forward to seeing everyone participate and give it a red hot crack!
