Week 10 Term 1

Dear Parents and Carers,

Last Sunday we opened our school to our school community to come and view our new learning spaces. Thank you to all the parents and the new families for joining in and for the wonderful feedback I have received. Our new facilities have certainly created an even more engaging learning environment both inside and outside.

Last Wednesday, the students and teachers gathered for our Walk to School day at Shore Reserve.  It was a lovely morning for a stroll down Saunders Street.  After arriving at school, the students enjoyed breakfast in the sun.  We are grateful to the Joson family who provided us with a variety of fruit for the students to enjoy.

Art Show Postponed

Unfortunately, our Art Show that was due to be held this Friday, April 1st, is now postponed to Friday, April 29, the first week of Term 2. 

Official Opening of New Learning Facilities

Last week I received the exciting news that Archbishop Peter Comensoli and some local members of parliament will attend our school on Friday, April 29 for an official opening of the new learning facilities. Once all details are finalized, I will let you all know if we will be able to have the families attend this very special occasion. 

School photos – Catch Up March 29th

A catch-up School Photo session is scheduled at St Fidelis on Tuesday, March 29 for the students who were in isolation or absent on our School photo day.

Correct Family Contact Information

It is very important that if your contact details, in particular, your email address and emergency contact number have changed that you notify the School Office so they can update these.  

CYBERSAFETY INFORMATION  

The above are some SOCIAL MEDIA ICONS for Social Media Platforms.  These platforms are restricted to users 13 years and older by LAW.  Some of our students have these platforms!  False information of year of birth has been used to access these and this is breaking the LAW. When signing up to any social media platform, your personal information is stored and can be used by that company/organisation in any way they wish.

Parents / Carers, if you have given permission for your child to be on these social media platforms -please be vigilant and know what they are viewing and responding to via social media. Please be mindful that some content can be disturbing and harmful to your child's wellbeing.

PARENTS, YOU NEED TO REGULARLY VIEW/MONITOR YOUR CHILD'S USE OF DEVICES/MOBILE PHONES.

Sibling Enrolments for 2023 

Our records indicate there are still a number of existing families who have NOT enrolled siblings for 2023. It would assist us to determine how many places we have available for new families for 2023. Please collect your enrolment forms from the school office or download them from our website.

SCHOOL FEES 2022 -1ST INSTALLMENT OVERDUE

Our school does rely on school fees for many recurrent costs so prompt payment is appreciated. The office is open from 8:30 to 4:00 pm each day if you would like to pay in person. During this COVID time, direct debit is preferred. If you pay by direct debit, please use the bank details below. If any families need to discuss alternative arrangements for the payment of fees, please contact me directly. Accounts for Term 1 were distributed last week with the first instalment due on Friday, March 25.
