Learning Tasks
This term three Learning Tasks were released - Reading, Writing and Mathematics. Prep families had two Learning Tasks released - English and Mathematics.
Key points about Learning Tasks at SGPS:
* Each semester, our progressive reporting package is made up of six Learning Tasks and one Semester Report.
* Learning Tasks reflect your child's performance on a specific task or assessment undertaken in class.
* When parents/carers open a Learning Task they should be able to see an overview of the task, commentary provided by the teacher and for most tasks, an 'artefact' (attachment).
We hope you found the Learning Tasks in Term 1 a valuable insight into your child's progress in these three key learning areas.
Netbooks Over the Holidays
Grade 3 to 6 students will leave their netbooks at school during the holiday period. Teachers have made arrangements this week to store all devices securely.
School Gardener
Our school has recently formed a partnership with a local gardener who is going to begin working in our gardens during the holiday break. They will continue in this work on a weekly basis for the remainder of the year which is a great outcome for the school.
Lunch Orders
Lunch orders will recommence in Week 2 (Term 2) on Thursday 5th May.
Wishing everyone a safe and happy Easter holiday break. See you all in Term 2!
