Debating

Only one of our debate teams competed this week, with the added challenge of a secret topic! Secret topics are only announced an hour before the debate and students must prepare with no technology or resources. The team (Ayesha G, Grace G, Eve D, Georgia G and Lily G) was nervous about the first attempt at a secret topic, but they did an amazing job coming up with some strong arguments on why modern technology is bad for your health, covering everything from nuclear missiles to fake news and body image. 

Unfortunately, the team was pipped by one point to some very worthy opponents, but we are confident that the next secret topic will be far less nerve-wracking!
