National Careers Week: 16 – 20 May 2022
Students in Years 7-11 will have the opportunity to attend Industry talks from people who work in Medicine, Law, Science, and Business and Marketing throughout Careers Week. The presentations will run during lunchtime on Tuesday 17, Wednesday 18, Thursday 19 and Friday 20 May.
Tuesday 17 May: Business and Marketing
Hear from Dr. Peter Thomas and Nicole Ferrari. Dr. Peter Thomas has been a CEO and director for a variety of commercial, education and not for profit businesses. Nicole Ferrari has recently worked in corporate marketing roles, advertising agencies and currently teaches at Swinburne.
Wednesday 18 May: Medicine
Hear from Dr Gehan Roberts who is a Pediatrician and Royal Children's Hospital and Dr Carolyn Beaumont who is a General Practitioner in the local area.
Thursday 19 May: Science
Hear from Vicky Tan about all things Science and Research.
Friday 20 May: Law
Hear from Leigh Hogarty-Langston and Matthew Page. Leigh is a Lawyer who has worked in large law firms, small firms and not for profit organisations. Matthew is a Criminal Defence Barrister and works within the Justice System.
