Eastertide

As we draw to the end of the Lenten Season, we are soon to enter the greatest liturgical time of the Catholic Calendar...Holy Week and ultimately Easter Sunday. During this Lenten Season, Pope Francis released his annual message, reflecting on St Paul's epistle to the Galatians: 'Let us not grow tired of doing good, for in due time we shall reap our harvest, if we do not give up' (6:9-10).

We are given multiple opportunities to continue to do good, everyday of our lives. May this come to fruition as we journey closer to the passion and risen Christ. As the psalm above states that the Lord has done great things for us, let us too be guided by His example and continue His work now in 2022.

May this year's Eastertide bring you joy through the resurrection of our Lord and the courage to nurture others allowing you to grow, bringing alive the Good News.

May your Easter with family and friends be blessed and fulfilling. Rejoice in the Risen Lord!

Holy Week Celebrations

In preparation for Holy Week festivities, the students will be taking part in a whole school liturgy this Thursday to learn more about the many events relevant to this very important time of our Catholic Liturgical Calendar. Teachers and students have been designing Holy Week experiences located around the school so that they can visit and pray at each, allowing for Thursday's liturgy to be more meaningful and authentic.

Here are some images of the different stations depicting the events of Holy Week.

Caritas Kilometres

Please continue to promote the collection of donations for our Caritas Kilometres that will take place on the first day back at school in Term 2.

We would like parents, carers and other family members to join us on the day to walk around the oval with their children. Please remember that anyone entering the school to join us must show evidence of their vaccination certificates showing at least two doses.

The timetable for the Caritas Kilometres Walkathon will be as follows:

Foundation 10:00am - 10:30am

Year 1 & 2 10:30am -11:00am

Year 3 & 4 12:00pm - 12:30pm

Seniors 12:30pm -1:00pm

Prayer Placements

The following place-mats have been produced by the Diocese of Sale over the past few years. The mats are laminated and double-sided and feature traditional and contemporary prayers before meals .

They make perfect gifts, especially for Sacrament Candidates. Priced at just 50 cents each, they are a lasting and inexpensive way to remember that special day, and can encourage family prayer at home.

If anyone is interested in purchasing these Prayer before Meals place-mats, please let me know via email.

Be nurtured and grow.
