This Fabulous 5 Steps to Resilience Seminar is being held next Tuesday May 3rd at school. This is a wonderful resource for any parent to tap into especially after the last few difficult years . We would love to see you there.
The last few weeks of Term 1 teachers have been introducing Mindfulness into our classrooms. Over the coming weeks I will be sharing some of the exercises we do in the classroom with you in the newsletter.
The first mindfulness exercise we have introduced in our classrooms is called 'Breathing Buddies' . We have been using stones, toys and bean bags as our "buddies". Students place their buddy on their stomach and notice their buddy go up and down as they breathe in and out.
This is a fantastic short exercise that can be done to regulate our breathing and help us all focus. Feel free to try it at home too.
