Classroom News - Year 5

Big Write

Year 5 students have immersed themselves into the Big Write process and are really putting a lot of thought into upleveling their writing. We are very proud of their progress so far.

Maths

At the moment Year 5 are revising their mental strategies for addition and subtraction. We encourage the students to practise their number facts and spend some time, if possible, on Studyladder or Prodigy.

Golf

Year 5 are having a great time with Mr Walkley on Monday afternoons. They are learning to chip, putt and drive and are showing solid progress with these skills. There are definitely some budding golfers in the group.

Water Challenge

The students should have brought home a 'Water Challenge' note. We encourage families to make an effort to make some simple changes to their routine by taking shorter showers, turning off the tap while brushing teeth and using the half-flush on the toilet. By making these simple changes we can save up to 5 litres of water every day.

Please support the Water Challenge Run/Walk on Friday 29th March.
