10 Boys went to Keilor Park to compete in the Brimbank schools competition. They were coached by two Year 10 girls completing a Sports Leadership assessment.

Game 1 VUSC 32 d KDC 16 (Tevita 4 tries)

Game 2 Sunshine SC 32 d KDC 8 (Tevita and Nghiem 1 try each).

Boys went out on a very nice day last Friday 17 August.  They were very competitive, but it was some simple errors of ball security, being tackled over the side lines, and sometimes not quite being as big as the other sides which meant that we couldn't quite match them.  But we weren't disgraced.

Great moments: Tevita scoring 5 tries for the day.  Dennis twice marking the ball with several large opposition players bearing down on him. Aunese tackling a player twice his size and almost getting the player down, and Nghiem's 50 metre run down the sideline to score. Plus Reta coaching and making some great observations about what the boys needed to focus on.

Great to see Tevita and Frank's parents along to cheer.  Tevita's dad also spoke to players to give some advice, his knowledge coming from schoolboy rugby in Fiji and Sydney Grade Rugby.

All in all a great day.
