Biathlon

Tuesday 10th November saw the Inaugural running of the Biathlon for the Year 7 to 9’s.  The backdrop of Scenic Drive was amazing on a 33 degree day.

The students formed teams of 4 of which 2 run rode bikes around the 3km Scenic Drive track and the other two ran 700m around the Vic Park football oval.

Students also had the option of playing tennis, netball and football when they were not participating and some students even walked the football oval to gain more points for their house.

The Year 9’s started the day, followed by the Year 8’s and then the Year 7’s finished off the Biathlon with the last rider coming in around 11:30am.

There were many great team achievements along with some students who did the whole Biathlon individually and there were even teams of 2 where the same student did a disciple each.

Congratulations to the following teams who placed first:

9 Boys : Hamish Prime and Corey Robson (Brigid)

9 Girls: Macy Larkin, Kate Parker and Claudia Sampson (2 disciplines) (Nicholls)

8 Boys: Nash Ramage, Riley Godfrey, Olly Poole and Alex Wagner (Patrick)

8 Girls: Tilly Candy, Khloe Hall, Lily Devlin and Brody Maple (Delany)

7 Boys: Jack Morley, Luke Stone, Lenny Cook and Kane Sidebottom (Patrick)

Individual Results:

7 Girls: Jamie Nunan (Moore)

Students were then bused to Moama Public Pool where they had a BBQ lunch waiting for them while they had a couple of hours to relax and have a swim.
