St. Joseph's Feast Day

Friday, 19th March will see us, as a school community, joining together to celebrate the feast day of St. Joseph. This day is celebrated annually on the 19th in honour of Joseph, Jesus' foster father. The Scripture is where we learn all about Joseph and the man he was.

Yes, he was a carpenter, a working man, but we also know him as a compassionate and caring man who respected God and this is evident in all of his behaviours outlined within the Scripture passages. Although there is much we don't know about Joseph, Scripture has left us with the most important knowledge: who he was -- "a righteous man" (Matthew 1:18).

So, on Friday, we will come together as a school community (students and staff only due to Covid restrictions) to celebrate mass in the school hall, presided by Father Gleeson. Following our mass there will be a free sausage sizzle and icy pole available for all students and a games afternoon organised by our stage 3 students. Lunch orders will still be available and if students choose to they can have both!

Prayer to St. Joseph:

Saint Joseph, patron of the universal Church, watch over the Church as carefully as you watched over Jesus, help protect it and guide it as you did with your adopted son. Amen
