CAMP GUNDIWINDI

We are all getting very excited about our upcoming visit to Camp Gundiwindi (17th-19th March). Now is a good time to check that you have everything you need. A copy of the packing list was sent home with the medical form last week. We have also attached a copy of the list below.

Over the next couple of weeks it will also be helpful to brush up on the practical skills your child will need to care for themselves while on camp. Can your child brush their teeth and hair without your supervision? Do they know when having a shower to put the cold tap on before adding hot water?  Feeling confident with little things like this can help your child be as independent as possible on camp.

Please also remember to have payments and medical forms finalised by Tuesday 9th March!

LEARNING IN MIDDLE SCHOOL

Over the past few weeks students in middle school have looked at measurement in their maths lessons. Coming up we will be looking at fractions and decimals. These are both topics that can be well supported at home with real life experiences. Encourage your child to lend a hand with cooking. Using measuring cups and reading scales provide a great hands on lesson in understanding measurement and fractions!
