SENIOR BOYS CRICKET

On the 25th of February, the Senior Cricket team took on Rowville Sports Academy (RSA) for the Knox Division title. 

Wantirna bowled first in slippery conditions, after plenty of talk in the field and a couple of dropped catches, RSA finished on a score of 2/193 off 20 overs. Highlights were Jay K (1/13) and Bailey L (1/24).  

We then went out to bat and despite losing an early wicket, Nick A (41) and Romesh (37) batted superbly, making a partnership of 81 

runs, bringing us to a competitive score of 5/99. 

The boys fought hard right up until the end. The game was played in good spirits, full credit to both teams on how they conducted themselves. Lastly, thanks to the boys who filled in late to ensure we got a team together. 

Good luck to RSA who will now advance to the Eastern Metropolitan Finals.
