Later Years

Parent, Student, Teacher Conferences

Parent, Student, Teacher Conferences are coming up and we strongly encourage parents and students to make as many appointments as possible to meet with teachers.  We know that when parents and the school work in partnership to support student learning that students are going to have better outcomes.

We understand that some parents are not able to make the conferences.  In the Later Years we still encourage students to make appointments for themselves as this is a great opportunity for one on one feedback about learning and their progress.  This is particularly recommended for students in year 12.

Year 12 Formal

Tickets for the Year 12 Formal are now on sale through Compass and close on Wednesday March 24th.  Students will enjoy a three course meal and dancing as they celebrate making it to Year 12.   We look forward to seeing students get their glad rags on for this Hollywood themed night and can't wait to see the photos.

Special thanks goes out to Mackenzie Le Ferve, Rebekah Fox and Richard Ha for their leadership in making this event happen along with the other year 12 student leaders who have been putting in long hours to get everything organised for the big night.

Also a big shout out to the teachers who have agreed to supervise for the evening.  It's a big ask on top of a full day of school and parent, teacher interviews in the same week.

Please note:  As with all student events, this event is strictly alcohol free.

Year 10 Work Experience

Monday June 21- Friday June 25

All Year 10 students will have the opportunity to participate in a week of Work Experience during the final week of term 2. During work experience students can explore potential career options and workplaces. This is an important factor in making decisions for Year 11 and 12. This term, the students have been preparing to find work experience places in the Wednesday Explore class. Students have updated their resumes, practiced introducing themselves with an ‘elevator pitch’ and revisited the career profiling Morrisby Report from last year to consider possible industries and occupations to investigate.
