Return to School

We're back!

All students are to return to onsite learning as of tomorrow Thursday 18th February. Our 'stop, kiss and drop' morning procedures will be once again enacted with parents permitted to come on-site in the mornings and afternoons. I expect we will return to our school operations that were in place immediately before the snap lockdown last Friday.

Should anything majorly change once I receive the update from CECV/ Victorian Education, I will update you all.

Can I just say thank you to all families for your understanding and support during the lockdown and to our staff for their flexibility and professionalism in having their online learning platform up and running by midday Monday morning.

See you all tomorrow!

Big Brekky Take 2

Due to the events of the last few days and the uncertainties of restrictions now in place, we have decided to reschedule our Big Breakfast to Friday 5th March.

We will welcome all families to join us for breakfast in the central courtyard and feast upon a range of pastries, muffins,  fruit, sausages, juice, tea and coffee (a Coffee Van will be on site).

It will be a time to catch-up, meet new people and just enjoy the new year.  (Hopefully) We will see you all there!

Prep Learning Conferences

This term Learning Conferences for our Prep children have been scheduled for:

Prep NV -  Wednesday 24th February: 2:00pm - 6:00pm.

Prep LV - Thursday 25th February: 2:00- 6:00pm

Please note that there will be normal classes running all day for Prep children.

Just to be on the safe side we have set up the Learning Conferences to be conducted via Video Link.

The idea of holding these conferences early in the term is so that teachers can outline the learning program for your child based upon the data collected and address any settling-in issues.

Meetings will be scheduled every 15 minutes. We understand that in some special cases a longer time will be required and if this is the case you are asked to make alternative arrangements with your class teacher.

Prep families are to use School Interviews Online to manage bookings.

Please go to www.schoolinterviews.com.au , enter the event code of xjkvy and follow the simple instructions to book interviews for the times that suit your family.

Your Booking Confirmation will contain the LINK to the video conference so please do not delete this email.

BOOKINGS ARE NOW OPEN.

Student Leadership

Over the last couple of weeks, students in Years 5 and 6 interested in applying for positions of student leadership have been asked to complete and submit a written application addressing specific criteria. Last Friday the students who applied for a position on one of the Student Leadership teams had the opportunity to present themselves along with what they have to offer through our interview process. The candidates delivered a short presentation to their peers, select staff and me.

I must commend every single student who took the time to compose their application and present themselves to their peers... It takes courage to 'put yourself out there.'

After much deliberation, the successful candidates were announced to the Year 5/6 community that afternoon and will be presented to the school community at the next School Assembly.

In the meantime, Let's meet them-

Car Park

Since we have a number of new families commencing at Corpus Christi School this year I thought it timely to revisit school ‘drop off’ and ‘pick-up’ procedures. Families can use either end of the school to drop off and collect their children.  However, it is of utmost importance that all families adhere to the parking restrictions within the school car park and surrounding streets.

In the front car park, parking IS ONLY PERMITTED in designated parking bays and ‘Keep Clear’ areas and No Standing areas must be kept clear. There is NO ‘drop-off’ zone. Cars must be parked in the designated bays.
