Rising Stars

The CSC Music Department is excited to announce; the 2020 VCE Group Music ensemble has been invited to perform at Top Class Music at the Melbourne Recital Centre on the 30th of March. The Ensemble is comprised of Jim Reid - Vibraphone, Tilly Stroek - Drum kit, Ada Levis - Bass and Uma Dingemans - Keyboards/Synths. The Students practiced hard through the difficulties of remote learning, having their rehearsal time significantly reduced, yet still managing to produce a compelling performance, impressing the examiners, and gaining an invitation to this prestigious occasion. Lloyd Meadows, on solo bass guitar, was also invited to audition for the event, though unfortunately was not selected to perform, nevertheless a great achievement to be asked to audition.  

Top Class Music is an event which showcases students who received very high grades for their VCE performance examinations in 2020. It's a great honour to have the students recognised for all their hard work, we wish them all the best for the concert later in March.
