Year 7 Camp

Such an exciting part of the year 7 calendar - going on camp and making new friends. Our camp was located amongst a beautiful setting, the range of activities offered that challenge students both mentally and physically, that encourage and even demand teamwork, allowing students to set their own goals and extend themselves at their own pace. It was good to see some students take the lead and how others cooperated to complete a task!

The best part of the whole camp is that all of our Year  7 students get to meet each other, eat together and play together. It’s the first time the whole cohort gets together. 

It was also wonderful to get to know some of the new teachers. It was such a pleasure to have Ben and Ruth along and to see them interact with students. It was also wonderful to witness our recently graduated students coming on camp leading and talking with younger students. 

We were fortunate to have Paul Frye come and visit us as we had lunch and undertook out first afternoon activities. That was such a positive experience for the students and leaders.
