Library

The library has been a buzz of activity this term.

The past two weeks we have been celebrating the Chinese New Year of the Ox. We have been researching the meaning of and exploring the 12 year zodiac cycle. We have also been creating Chinese rattle drums and lanterns to decorate the library. It has been a fun cultural dive.

The children have also been enjoying borrowing funny books from our 'funny books' display with books by authors such as David Walliams, Anh Do, Andy Griffiths, Morris Gleitzman, Mo Williams, Liz Pichon, Jeff Kinney and many more.

The lunchtime activities have been mainly dominated by the younger children eager to learn chess. They even taught me a game called wolf and sheep, a simple tactical game you play with a chess board that is fast moving. I highly recommend you try it!
