Soccer Gala Day
Our Soccer Gala Day events will be held on tomorrow, Friday 28 July 2023. Please see Compass for additional information if your child has received notification of involvement. We are still in need of team managers for some of the Girls' teams at both venues. If you are available to support in this role on the day, please let the school know or let the supervising teachers know at the gala event. A reminder that students attending the Senior Gala Day at Unanderra are travelling via bus so they need to be at school for a 7:45 am departure. Junior Gala day attendees need to arrive at Ocean Park via private transport at 8:15 am. A canteen will be available at both venues on the day.
Gala Day Philosophy
All gala days strictly operate under CEDoW’s Gala Day Philosophy - please ensure all students and parents are familiar with this philosophy before attending. The gala days are designed for students to enjoy the sport, try the sport out, have fun and exercise without the pressure of competition and winning. We are fortunate to have staff willing to organise these gala opportunities, along with parents willing to act as team managers on the day. As always, St Joseph's Bulli is proud to see our students, teachers and parents maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all when attending our gala day events.
High School Referees
We are so fortunate to have the support of local high school students at these events to allow the days to go ahead. All participants and spectators are reminded of the Gala Day philosophy so we can do our best to ensure it is a positive experience for all. In doing so, we hope to continue to have the support of high school students in the future. If any SJB parents, carers or support crew have any questions, feedback or concerns on the day, please speak directly with one of our SJB supervising teachers.
