The National Student Wellbeing Program 2024-2027
Many of you will be aware of our Pastoral Support Worker, Cecilia Welsh from Catholic Care who, with teachers, provides support for wellbeing needs of our students. This role is funded through the National Chaplaincy Program. (The program is now titled: The National Student Wellbeing Program).
In making an application for the next three years we require the completion of a Community Consultation Survey. Parents and carers are invited to complete the survey using this link. The survey data is collected by Catholic Care and not the school.
I take this opportunity to sincerely thank Cecilia for the wonderful work she is doing to support students and their wellbeing needs with teachers. She provides:
- one-to-one student support
- friendship group support
- whole class and group programs
- support for the emotional needs of students who may be experiencing difficult times either at school or home life such as the death of a family member.
Cecilia makes regular contact with many families and children keenly seek her out. Cecilia is a valuable part of the St Joseph’s team.
For all things at St Joseph's, we give thanks.

How does my child receive a Principal's Award?
Class teachers nominate students for Blue Merit Awards and are presented at the weekly assembly. When five Blue Merit Awards have been received, students send them to the school office to be recorded and are then eligible for a Principal’s Award. When students attain their 4th Principal Award, they are awarded a Principal’s Medallion at an assembly. End of Term awards can be included as part of the 5 awards.
Acknowledgement to Country
