Principal's News

Welcome to Term 3. It is wonderful to hear so many stories of holiday breaks spent travelling, working in part-time jobs, playing sport, rehearsing for the musical, relaxing with friends and family and generally refreshing and recalibrating, ready for second semester.

The staff day last week, focused on staff wellbeing. A presentation from our school counsellor focused on building a mindset to maintain wellbeing. An extremely informative and pragmatic session, I am sure our staff will refer to this in the weeks to come, to keep resetting the focus on those things which support positive health of mind and body and their interrelation.

The rest of the day faculties had time to plan and prepare individually and in teams; and in either of the four sessions offered for staff, to mix and mingle and enjoy being together – a yin yoga session run by one of our talented parents, Sarah Machado; an introduction to the gym, its equipment and a short workout session, run by Toby our strength and conditioning coach; a book club chat; or a walk and talk with colleagues, which could incorporate a coffee break (or not!). We really enjoyed being together, working together and focusing on the term ahead.

Cars and Traffic Management

Drop Off and Pick Up

It is with an increased sense of urgency that I write to the school community for your support.

DO NOT PARK in the Church grounds, (including the circular church driveway), the staff car park or the medical clinic.

DO NOT speed in either direction down Hood Crescent or surrounding areas.

DO NOT double park to let students out or pick students up.

DO PARK in surrounding streets and have your daughter walk and meet you there. We encourage students to ride bikes, scooters or take public transport to and from Shelford to relieve the congestion, encourage fitness and help the environment too.

Thank you for working with us to prevent accidents and to respect the property of our neighbours.
