Thank You to Gilberts and Burrendah Parents

Thank you to all the Burrendah Primary School parents, family members, and supporters who have joined Gilbert’s Fresh Market “Support Our School (SOS) Program”. Gilbert’s recently donated $428 in program earnings over the last six months to the P&C. Since Burrendah Primary joined the program in 2018, the P&C has received over $6,400 from Gilbert’s. All funds received by the P&C are used for improvements to our school. 

The SOS program is free and easy for all parents and community members to join - just ask at the checkout and nominate Burrendah Primary School as your chosen school. Then simply scan your rewards card at the checkout each time you shop and Gilbert’s will donate 1% of your spend to our school. 

The P&C has used Gilbert’s latest donation to purchase 25 Ergerite flexible stools for the Year 5 classrooms. A group of Year 5 students recently gave a presentation to the P&C on the benefits of these stools, which include promoting student engagement, particularly those who require constant movement, encouraging mobility and core strength, and being able to offer a range of seating options for students. The P&C was so impressed by the students’ presentation and gave unanimous support for the funding request.

Supporting Burrendah Primary School P&C is as easy as doing your shopping!

Burrendah is part of the Gilberts Fresh Market Support our Schools (SOS) Program. The SOS Program donates 1% of customers’ spending to their nominated school, to use on whatever the school chooses. 

How to join?

Joining is simple. Just ask to sign up in-store (at the checkout) and nominate Burrendah Primary School as your chosen school. You will receive a card that is scanned each time you shop at Gilbert's. It’s that easy!

Who can join?

The SOS program is for anyone who would like to support our school - parents, teachers, family, and friends.
