The Year 10 Sport & Recreation students had a great opportunity to attend an AFL Experience Trip in Melbourne on Sunday 30th and Monday 31st July. As part of the trip the students were able to attend the Richmond v Melbourne game at the MCG on the Sunday. We had great seats on the fence and watched a high quality game of AFL with Melbourne claiming the win.
The main part of the trip on the Monday included a program with the Richmond Football Club. The first part of the day the students completed an Elite Training Session. The Elite Training Session was very valuable in developing their skills around exercise science and personal training. After this we had a presentation in the players meeting room about the Club and the Richmond Institute of Sports Leadership. This was followed by a tour of the Richmond Football Club facilities at Punt Road. Overall, the students had a great time and were able to further develop their knowledge and skills within the Sport & Recreation industry. Big thankyou to Ms Ebonee Smith and Ms Laura Crow who also attended the excursion.
