Cocurricular

This week has seen the commencement of a number of our Term Three cocurricular activities. A highlight for me was hearing the stories from our students participating in regular Aged Care Facility visits. In order to develop deeper connections with residents Mrs Henderson invited a visiting physiotherapist, Caroline Cameron, to train students in hand massage. We are grateful for Caroline volunteering her time with us and the skills she taught us. The mental health benefits of touch are widely known and I am confident that the students involved have not only gained a new skill but will be able to share this with the residents when they visit Gwen Hardie Lodge in the coming weeks. We are so thankful to be active members of our Albany community and our students gain so much from these experiences.
