Latest News on Covid
Reporting your positive rapid antigen test (RAT) result has been removed from 30 June, you can no longer report your test result online or through the Coronavirus hotline.
· The Coronavirus hotline (1800 675 398) was shut down on 7 July.
· The last intake for the COVID Positive Pathways program was on 19 June.
You should still take a RAT if you have symptoms of COVID-19 and if you test positive for COVID-19, you should isolate for at least 5 days or as long as you have symptoms.
Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV)
RSV is a common virus that affects the airways and lungs and is a leading cause of respiratory infections in children and is also affecting adults this winter. Symptoms are similar to a common cold.
Like COVID-19 and the Flu, you can prevent the spread of RSV with these tips:
· Stay at home if feeling unwell
· Regularly wash hands with soap and water or use hand sanitiser
· Cover the mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing
· If unwell, stay away from new-borns and those with weakened immune systems.
Seek medical care if symptoms worsen or persist.
