LEARN TO SPEAK ENGLISH WHILE YOU MAKE NEW FRIENDS

Are you too shy to talk to people because you cannot speak English very well? Well, you can improve your English because Killester College runs a ‘Conversational English Class for adults’ every Monday morning from 10.00am till 12.00pm during school term, for parents, family members and friends.  Classes are fun, where you are safe to try your new language skills in a friendly place. Voting “Yes” for constitutional recognition through a Voice is about recognition, listening and better results. It’s our opportunity to recognise 65,000 years of history. And start better listening to communities to make a practical difference to the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

The Uluru Statement from the Heart has extended a generous and powerful invitation to all Australians, and we are embracing this invitation and asking you to join us on this journey of saying Yes to constitutional recognition.

Join us for community festivities including market stalls, food trucks and performances from 12pm.

The interactive panel discussion on the Voice referendum will take place inside the Town Hall from 1pm - 2.30pm. RSVP for it herehttps://events.humanitix.com/ssi-melbourne

Together we will talk about why constitutional recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people through a Voice to Parliament is a crucial step in the walk towards reconciliation as a country. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions, share their feedback and learn about ways to engage in the local community.

This event is open to everyone.

This is an opportunity for our multicultural communities to come together, learn, and engage in a constructive conversation about the Voice Referendum and its potential impact.
