GET EXCITED! 

The 47th Lindfield Art Show and Fair is happening this term! Over the weekend of the 1st – 3rd September our school hall will be transformed into a wonderful, pop-up style art gallery while our school grounds will become a fun-filled fair with activities and attractions for all ages! 

The Lindfield Art Show and Fair is a huge part of the fabric of our school. It’s been running now for almost 50 years and is so known in our community that it’s no longer simply the Holy Family Art Show. We will be welcoming more than 100 established and emerging artists exhibiting works ranging from paintings and sculptures to photography and mixed media, with budgets to suit all homes. 

What’s On?

The Art Show opens with a VIP Event on Friday 1st September – tickets go on sale next week – so make sure to mark your diaries and dust down your dancing shoes for what will be a fun night to meet and mingle with other parents, members of the community and some of our artists. It is also an opportunity to get first viewing of the art works and possibly purchase something before the crowds on Saturday. 

The Opening night even plays host to some wonderful raffles with amazing prizes already donated from artists and businesses to support our school. We will also auction off a fabulous artwork (details to be released shortly) to one lucky home. Last year we had a stunning Sidney Nolan piece find a new home in Lindfield. 

On Saturday our school grounds play host to a wonderful array of fair activities from the kindy petting farm, to kids crafts and activities, BBQ, coffee and cake stalls to inflatable fun and challenges. We will have performances throughout the day from local dance, music and drama clubs as well as our school band. And of course, the Art Show will be open to peruse the works and enjoy some goods from local businesses in our market stalls. 

It promises to be an unforgettable weekend and we are looking forward to seeing our school community get behind this event in any way they can. 

Our partnership program is also now live, providing school and community businesses with the opportunity to get involved and support our event over the coming weeks and on the weekend itself. There are options to suit all business budgets and a range of great inclusions for being involved. Term 3 P& F Forum 

Our Term 3 P&F Forum will take place on Wednesday 9th August, from 7pm. Again, we will host the meeting in the School Library and provide a link to join via Teams. Meeting link and agenda will be shared next week. Our agenda will focus on the activities and preparation for the Lindfield Art Show and Fair, as well as an update on the proposed upgrades to the school playground, and other P&F supported initiatives in 2023.

Are you a Social Media Gun? 

We are looking for some parents to help with some of the planning for our Term 3 events including the Lindfield Art Show and Fair in the coming weeks. In particular, we are looking for parents who are social media gurus to help keep our social media accounts running.
