Hockey Program

During Term 3, students from K-6 will be participating in a hockey program during Sport lessons. We were lucky enough to receive a sporting schools grant to offer a coach delivered sporting program for our students for Sport lessons. This term students will be learning about Hockey in a 5 week program delivered by the regional Hockey NSW coach Jake McCann. 

During this program the students will be learning about how to pass, dribble and control the ball using a hockey stick and develop skills to promote accuracy in their shot selection. Our first week of classes in the Hockey Program was wonderful and our students enjoyed getting to try out a popular winter team sport. 

Army Cadets 

Great to see another one of our students celebrating their passion. Logan L is finally old enough to join Army Cadets and could not be happier! The Army is a huge interest to Logan and he is passionate about pursuing his dreams in a career in the Army, great first stepping stones.

Well done Logan, we cannot wait to hear about your first bivouac. 

Athletics training 

Mr Jon Welsh has kindly offered to take our interested students for athletics training on the following dates and times.

Please note this is NOT a school event and your presence will be required at any after school sessions.

Training days, from week 1, Term 3;

1. Tuesdays 3.30 pm at the Guyra Oval like last year
2. Thursdays from 2.30 to 3.15 pm at the school the same as last year

 This will continue until 18th August

House Colours 

St Mary of the Angels have 3 school house colours. We encourage our students to wear these on the day of the swimming carnival (as well as all future sport events), alternatively, sports uniform can be worn. In 2023 the school house colours are: 

McAuley - RED

Mercy - BLUE

Mackillop - YELLOW (previously green however this has been changed as of 2023 to not clash with the school uniform)
