R U OK? is a public health promotion charity that encourages people to stay connected and have conversations that can help others through difficult times in their lives.

R U OK? inspire and empower everyone to meaningfully connect with the  people around them and start a conversation with those in their world who may be struggling.

You don't need to be an expert to reach out - just a good friend and a great listener.

Use these four steps and have a conversation that could change a life:

R U OK? will be celebrated on 14th September, 2023.

Welcome Amber

We are excited to welcome Amber Ward to the Hamlyn Views School wellbeing team. Amber is a passionate communicator with a particular focus on helping young people navigate their world and embrace life. Amber brings a wealth of experience in wellbeing and family support roles. She also has a bunch of crazy stories from her time working underground in the mining industry.

Amber will be working with students, parents and staff on a range of projects that support social and emotional wellbeing. You can find Amber at school on Fridays and at other times by appointment through the school office.

Attention: Parents & Carers

Parents & Carers are invited to join Amber Ward (and a range of special guests) each week on Friday mornings between 9am and 10am in the Parents Room at school. Whether you would like to discover some easy wellbeing strategies to make things easier at home, connect with other parents and carers, find out about additional supports that might be helpful, or simply celebrate making it to the end of the week with a great bunch of people - you're very welcome to join us!

No RSVP is needed - just pop in to the Parents Room after drop-off on Friday mornings, beginning on Friday 8 September.
