Principal's Report

Dear Parents, Families and Community members,

2019 School Captains

Student leadership is an integral part of great schools and is not confined to a small group of individuals, as leadership potential is inherent within all learners.

Student leadership includes listening to and being able to clarify the issues of the students they represent and advocating on their behalf. Student leaders have an increased sense of responsibility to help others and to model leadership principles and values.

We are very proud to announce our 2019 School Captains and know that they will be exemplary leaders and role models for our school community.

Congratulations to:

It's all happening on Friday 22 March!

Harmony Day

On Friday 22nd of March Armstrong Creek School will be celebrating Harmony Day. It’s a day to celebrate our cultural diversity. It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone. This year’s theme is "Everyone Belongs".

Your child will be participating in a variety of Harmony Day activities during the week, both in class and during specialist activities.

P-2 students will have the opportunity at school to visit with a local author, Anglesea mum, Ali Villani.

"Ali the Shiny Sparkly Unicorn" is a beautifully illustrated children's book with an important message for little people to "Be Yourself". The story shares a powerful message of self-awareness, being your true self and being proud of who you are.   Ali’s chief aim is to instil confidence and resilience in young people.

Ali will be visiting our school on Friday 22nd of March for an author reading of the book.  This is a free incursion for P-2 students, however to support a local author and gain a memorable keepsake, you are welcome to purchase this fabulous book online for $15.00 by clicking on the link below:

If you bring your book along on the day, Ali will personally sign it for you!

World Down Syndrome Day

March 21 is World Down Syndrome Day, a day upon which people around the world celebrate the lives and achievements of people with Down Syndrome.

At Armstrong Creek School, we will be recognising and celebrating this day once again by wearing our odd, crazy and whacky socks to school on Friday 22 March to celebrate this alongside Harmony Day.
