Coles Sports for Schools Program
Thank you to all our families for their efforts in collecting the Coles Sports for Schools vouchers earlier this year. St Martin de Porres Primary School collected over 20,000 vouchers.
As a result of this, we were able to use the vouchers to redeem a range of sports equipment. Every classroom now has their own Sports Equipment bag, where students can borrow equipment to use during recess and lunch.
Once again a huge thank to our families for getting on board and supporting a fantastic program that has benefited the students in our school.
Athletics Carnival
On Monday 20th August, 40 students from across Grades 3 - 6 participated in the LPSSA District Athletics Carnival at the Newport Park Athletics Track. There were a total of six schools competing on the day. It was a fun day for all our students who attended and it was wonderful to see them try their best in their Athletic events. Thank you to Simon, Lisa and Jeremy for attending and supporting the students on the day.
A huge thank you to our grandparent helper Kevin Redfern who assisted with marshalling the Long Jump event. It was wonderful to see so many parents and grandparents come along on the day to support our students. Your presence on the day was very much appreciated by all the students and staff. Finally to the Athletics Team we are all so proud of you for representing St Martin de Porres Primary School in the carnival. Congratulations to you all for your wonderful efforts on the day.
