Dear Parents and Carers,

The P&F have been busy meeting Year Group Representatives to discuss fundraising and events, circulating Year Group Contact Lists, amending the P&F Constitution and preparing for the Annual General Meeting. We are excited to see the momentum building and have been inspired by the collaborative and positive spirit shown by everyone in our school community.

2022 Kick Start Fundraising and Events Meeting

Thank you to the Year Group Representatives for meeting with the P&F Executive and Auxiliary on Thursday 3 March to discuss year group get togethers, future events and fundraising ideas. It marked the first face-to-face meeting of the year, and hopefully there will be more to come!

In summary the P&F Fundraising Survey was completed by 158 members of our school community, with 48 parents/careers potentially interested in being part of a sub-committee to organise an event/s. The five most popular ideas were:

  1. Dads' Bonfire and BBQ at Windermere for fathers and their daughters/sons
  2. School Fair 2023
  3. Trivia night and Art Auction
  4. Kinross Wolaroi Pop-up Christmas Market
  5. Plant Sale and Book Fair

Following this, the kick-start meeting gave most weight to the Trivia Night, Fair for 2023 and the Dads' Bonfire. It was noted that consideration should be given to making events accessible for boarding families. These fundraising ideas will be explored further and findings circulated for discussion.

We have invited the school to provide a list of items and costings that the P&F may consider for funding. To date ideas suggested by the community/school include the purchase of marquee, upgrade of the Performance Theatre, enhancements to the pool and netball goal guards.

Please get in touch with your Year Group Representatives or myself (pandfsecretary@kws.nsw.edu.au) if you have ideas on fundraising or items/projects that maybe worthy of funding.

Year Group Contact Lists

Year Group Representatives have circulated year group contact lists. It is important to be mindful that the contact lists are confidential and collated from families who agreed to share their details with other families within their year group only.

If you have not received a list via email or your details are incorrect, please advise me (pandfsecretary@kws.nsw.edu.au) this week.
