Mr Tim Jones, Junior School Sport Co-ordinator

Swimming

It has been a busy few weeks for our Junior School swimmers. Over the weekend, the team braved the weather and road closures to compete in the HICES swimming competition at Olympic Park in Sydney on Monday 7 March. This was a most successful event with 11 swimmers qualifying for the CIS carnival to be held on Thursday 24 March.

Congratulations to Elizabeth Croft, Alexandra Karrasch, Tom Karrasch, Harriet King, Grace Lowther, Isabelle Provost, Georgie Simpson, Zoe Strahorn, Charlotte Williams, Marlon Zeilinski and Andie Zinga. Overall the team placed first in the handicap shield and all swimmers should be most proud of their effort and dedication, not just at the carnivals but for all the training that goes in beforehand.

Thank you to Geoff for driving the bus, Mrs Fataii for marshalling the troops, Mrs Theresa Armstrong for training the team and the parents who kept time or helped in the marshalling area throughout the day.
