Introducing School Leaders and Koorie Councillor

Hi everyone! 

We would like to introduce ourselves as the new school leaders for 2022. There are four people who are school leaders and 1 Koorie Councillor, our joint task is to help the school and to follow RISE to the best of our ability.

Gabriel

Hi, I’m Gabriel! In my role as a school leader I make sure students are safe, talk at assemblies and am always around to help. At school, I have made a lot of friends by being open and friendly. I LOVE soccer and play it every day. I really love this school because the teachers are so friendly. This school has a lot of great, inspiring people with who you can make good friends with.

Hidaya

Hello, if you don’t know me, my name's Hidaya! I have been here since prep and I have enjoyed the experience the whole way.  I wanted to become a school leader so I can help new students to have the same pleasant experience that I did, and now I’m looking forward to making that happen! I really enjoy art, drawing and video games.

Amy 

Hi, my name is Amy and I enjoy doing art, playing music, singing, talking with my friends and helping others. What I love about the school is how welcoming and friendly it is. If you are new, everyone treats you well and accepts you for who you are. What I am excited about are the new students that join during the year, I can’t wait for them to experience all of the wonderful things in school. 

Roisin

Hello, my name is Roisin. My goal as one of the school leaders is to make sure everyone feels safe and welcomed at this school. Something I’ve always loved about this school is it always welcomes every single culture and identity! One of the things I loved doing at school is helping people as much as possible. If you ever have any questions or just need someone to talk to, I will always be here for you! 

Tristan

Hello, I am Tristan. At school, some of my favourite things to do are cooking and any hands-on tasks. I am a HUGE field hockey fan and have played it since I was 7.  I am an Aboriginal Australian and I will be your Koorie Councillor for this year. Now, what is a Koorie Councillor I hear you ask? Well, the Koorie Councillor is a new school leadership role. It is all about understanding and respecting the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians. My role includes doing Acknowledgements of Country, helping the school with any Indigenous related issues and helping inform people more about my culture.
