STUDENT ACHIEVEMENTS

CHARLIZE PATERSON - YEAR 7

On February 26 and 27, Charlize Paterson competed in a swimming event in Broken Hill. Not only did Charlize get to meet Olympic Swimmer Emily Seebohm. She also attended the gala dinner and had a conversation and a training session. Charlize's results from the weekend were:

• 11/12 1st 100m backstroke
• 14u 2nd 200m backstroke 
• 11/12 2nd 100m freestyle 
• 11/12 3rd 50m fly
• 11/12 3rd 50 freestyle 
• Also three 4th and a 5th

KATE MOONPEN EUVRARD - YEAR 12

AUSTRALIAN JI JITSU TITLES

Kate Moonpen Euvrard recently competed at the Australian Ji Jitsu Titles and took out MSAC Bronze in Women Adults 69kg and Gold in Women Adults 66kg. This was Kate's first major competition since commencing Jiu Jitsu two years ago. 

Day one of the competition was not her best performance. Nerves got the better of her, and she psyched herself out, losing by points. However, day two of the competition came, and Kate was ready. She won her first fight by a rear-naked choke and won by points. Congratulations and well done, Kate!
