Athletics Club

All students from Prep to Year 6 are welcome to join us for morning sessions every Wednesday and Thursday for Term 1.

In Term 1, the focus will be on improving endurance and pacing with cross country running. These skills will help your child to be ready for our House Cross Country and potentially our District teams.

Students can meet the teacher running the morning session on the oval at 8:00am. These sessions will not go ahead if rain is projected.

Rowville District Inter School Sports

Winter and Summer Sports

This year, we look forward to our students representing our school at Rowville District Winter and Summer Interschool Sports. Our Winter Sport competitions, taking place on Friday 27th May and Friday 10th June, will consist of the following sports: AFL Football, Soccer, Netball, Fully Loaded Tee Ball and Jack Attack Lawn Bowls.

The aim on these days is to increase student engagement and involvement while promoting fundamental skills in each sport, good sportsmanship and teamwork. On both of these scheduled days, students will have the opportunity to represent the school competing against other schools or be part of an in-house competition against their peers.

The selection of teams to represent the school at these competitions will be based on students nominating and trying out for the sport they wish to compete in. All students were able to nominate 2 sports they wish to try out for. Our teachers along with parent coaches will conduct the try-outs and select the students to represent the school at each sport. Students who unfortunately are not selected to represent the school will not miss out. They will be part of an in-house competition run by teachers or coaches to enhance their skill in a sport. Also, it is guaranteed that all Year 5 and 6 students will have the opportunity to represent the school at least once either at the Winter Sports or Summer Sport this year.

We are open to assistance from parents to help with selection of teams and coaching our teams on the day. If you wish to support us with your expertise with coaching a team or know of someone who can coach a team and is available to help out please contact Mr Karl Camerino directly by email. All parents coaches will need to be vaccinated and have a current up to date Working with Children Check.
