3-4 S.A.K.G
Our garden and chickens survived the Summer heat. We adopted 2 of Mr Apted’s chickens and they have settled in but are yet to find their pecking order. There has been abundant zucchinis that were in this week’s recipes. This year will kicked off with Year 4 in Semester One and Year 3 in Semester Two. Students were sorted into groups for cooking and gardening where teamwork and leadership skills are fostered.
We are looking forward to harvesting corn in the coming weeks and made zucchini muffins and healthy breakfast muffins this week. Below are the leaders’ reflection.
In cooking, our group made healthy breakfast muffins, the process to do that took leadership and teamwork. The leader asks their group member to do certain jobs and everyone is happy to work together. An example of being a good leader is not bossing people around and asking politely. We got our recipe done quickly. Eleni from Orange Group
Our group made delicious, sweet and tasty zucchini muffins. It was a bit challenging because we had to collect ingredients from different places. We showed lots teamwork and had lots of fun. I hope we get to do this again. Samuel from Banana Group
Our group did a great job using cooking skills and using teamwork. We made sure everyone had a job at using the equipment. Jasmine from Strawberry Group
In cooking, we should follow safety rules and not run in the classroom. Holly from Apples Group
