Level 5/6

Level 5 and 6

What an action packed few weeks it has been in Level 5 and 6 at Rangeview! Students have enjoyed completing the whole school Start Up program and have now settled in well to the classroom routines and expectations. We have started an Inquiry into Natural disasters and their relationship to the weather as a part of our Earth and Space unit. Students were excited to begin our exploration of this through creating a working water cycle model. 

Each Year level has participated in their own Water Safety Day. Year 5 students thoroughly enjoyed their experience at Aqua Nation swimming pool and were able to challenge themselves by using the diving board and huge water slide as an added bonus. Year 6 had a wonderful day at Hampton Beach where they gained valuable life skills and were able to appreciate the dangers that can occur in the ocean and how to overcome and deal with unexpected situations. 

The Martial Arts program has been another highlight for our Year 6 students this week and we look forward to continuing this program throughout the term. Students are required to draw on their self-control, inner strength and growth mindset to assist them during the sessions. 

We are extremely proud of our students for the efforts so far and look forward to many more exciting opportunities along with continued growth and learning together.
