Level 1
Welcome back to a new school year! We are looking forward to a fabulous year and the children have been busy connecting with their new classmates and teachers. We have been completing many activities based on the theme ‘All About Me’, with so much of the students’ amazing work already on display.
The ‘Getting to Know You’ interviews last week provided a valuable opportunity to connect with parents and we look forward to building the home/school relationship as the year progresses.
This week we have been learning about 2D shapes and recognising them in our classrooms and school yard. We have been writing weekend recounts and learning important reading strategies to support comprehension. Our bucket filling activities have encouraged discussions about making good choices, being kind and helping others.
Take home readers, spelling words and Show and Tell have all commenced. In the following weeks we will start our Reading Workshops where the students will participate in a range of literacy-based activities.
Just a few reminders:
- Hats required in Terms 1 & 4 – please ensure they are named!
- iPads need to be at school every day – charged please!
We are looking forward to working with all families and supporting the children emotionally, socially and academically throughout 2022.

Welcome to Level 2!
The start of the year has been very smooth for the students and teachers. Everyone is happy to be back at school and in their new classroom. There are lots of smiling faces and chatter each morning, as students wait to enter their rooms and connect with their teacher and one another.
Each grade started with Chinese New Year activities. Sparkling lanterns and dragons were everywhere to be seen. There were some very unique designs too! Students are getting to know more about each other by playing board games, maths games and sharing information.
