Ethics Olympiad

On Thursday 17 March, Year 10, 11 and 12 students took part in an online Ethics Olympiad training day with various schools from NSW, Victoria, Northern Territory and South Australia. It was a day full of philosophical and ethical discussions with experts from all across the world.

Students learned about the theoretical approaches of consequentialism, deontology, Kantianism, care ethics, virtue ethics and utilitarianism.

We had record numbers of students sign up for the Ethics Olympiad this year, with a full Senior Team (Year 12) and two Junior Teams (Year 11 and Year 12). The following students are congratulated for their efforts and engagement. Some students even attended via zoom from isolation. Now that is commitment.
