2019 Enrolments
Many thanks to those who have returned enrolment forms already. If you are planning to send your child to the Scotsburn campus next year, we encourage you to return your enrolment forms ASAP.
Planning Day
On Wednesday 18th September, the Scotsburn staff will be hosting the Grade 3’s from the Buninyong Campus up at Scotsburn. On Thursday 19th September, the Buninyong Grade 3 teachers will host the Scotsburn students down at the Buninyong Campus. This will enable all staff to begin their planning for Term 4. We will meet in the courtyard between 8.45am and 9am on the 19th. Please ensure that you discuss a suitable meeting place with your child for the end of the day. Thank you very much for your flexibility and support.
Colour's Day
A reminder that on Friday September 20th we hold a variation of this day called Colours’ Day. This is where the kids can come along in their favourite sporting team colours or simply their favourite colours for the day. All we ask is for a donation of a gold coin that the classroom teachers will collect and send directly to the ‘Fight Cancer Organisation’. Thank you and we can’t wait to see everyone in their favourite colours on the day.
Last Day of Term 3
The Scotsburn students will start the day at Buninyong on Friday. The students will attend the assembly and then the library and gym. After play they will all make their way back to Scotsburn on the bus. School will finish at 2.30pm on this day.
Pip the Lizard
If you would like to take Pip the lizard home for the holidays, please drop in and make the arrangements with Bec.
Hats
A reminder that hats are compulsory next term. Please ensure that your child/children have their hat washed and named ready to go for the 1st week back.
Buildings & Grounds
There was plenty happening last week, as we strive to make improvements to the school grounds for the kids. Rick has continued on with the chook shed, which is now almost complete. We’ll look to get the chooks back into their new home after the school holidays. Ken has also done an amazing job. Some of his work included building some new seating and garden edging, fixing the timber alongside the pencils at the front of the school, hanging the new pictures in the Old Building and building a long jump / triple jump pit for the kids athletics practice. A huge thanks to Rick and Ken for doing such a fantastic job.
Celebration of Learning
A big thanks to everyone who attended the Celebration of Learning evening last week. It was great to see so many of our families having so much fun with their children. The students did a brilliant job guiding their parents through the evening, and the parents did an equally brilliant job participating in some of the learning activities. Thanks also to Luke who cooked the BBQ for us.
Pre Schooler Program
The Pre-Schooler program, which supports the 2020 Scotsburn Campus Prep students and their family’s transition to school, will run on a Wednesday (10am-11am) during the first four weeks of term 4. Knowing firsthand how important this time is, we are inviting any available 2019 prep parents to attend our morning tea to welcome and share experiences with our new families. Parents will be welcome to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee in the Old Building during this time.

Collaborative learning day
