Primary News

What a great start!

Wow! Can you believe we have completed 2 weeks of school?!  I have enjoyed visiting classrooms and seeing how engaged the students are in their learning.  Below I have included student responses outlining their reaction to the new school year:

  • “Mr Sands plays really cool games” (Sammy, Yr 4)
  • “I have really enjoyed Mr Jones’ teaching.  It is also great to have new students at the school” (Taylah and Owen, Yr 5)
  • “My teacher is really nice and friendly.  It’s fun seeing my friends again” (Elsa, Yr 1)
  • “It’s been good playing Maths games and having fun” (Josh, Yr 2)

Thank you to those families who were able to attend the Commencement Service and Acquaintance Night in Week 1.  The staff appreciated your attendance and are looking forward to partnering with you throughout the year.  If you were not able to attend the Acquaintance Night, please contact your child’s Pastoral Care Teacher (class teacher).

One practical way to stay connected to your child(ren)’s class is by logging on to Class Dojo.  Teachers will send updates, messages and information through this platform.  Please also remember to check emails for information.

I would like to congratulate the Primary leaders for 2020, particularly our Primary Captains, Millan Spencer and Hannah Hansen.  While we recognise all students have a part to play in leadership, it is great to acknowledge those with specific roles.

Please continue to read the newsletter for dates and events.  Enjoy your weekend!
